The checklist to fix a bad mood fast
And stop the downward spiral before you start catastrophizing
This simple checklist is a good starting place when you feel “wonky”.
It’s help my wife and I catch bad moods and stop them in their tracks, avoid fights, and save special days / moments from being spoiled.
Here’s the quick list:
Sleep - need a nap? Did you sleep enough last night?
Food - getting hangry?
Water - dehydration = brain fog (which makes me grumpy)
Fresh Air - step outside for a minute
Sunshine - not everyone is like Bane, born in darkness, molded by it…
Quality Time - put your focus towards someone else for a bit
Physical Touch - Hug your wife, friends, family, pet your dog (oxytocin for the win!)
Play - just have some fun. Do something that recharges you
Brain Dump - get the thoughts out of your head.
